Sound Off: What's your favourite cup of coffee?

I believe coffee has to have flavour to be drank black... most North American coffee, IMHO, has none. Thus, I drink my Nescafe Taster's Choice w/ French Vanilla Creamer.

But, when the cousins send me kava from the Czech Republic... it is definitely drank black... because it is full of flavour! :)
 
I like my coffee the way I like my women... in a styrofoam cup.

Seriously though, if you like iced coffee the was a great recipe in the paper:

Take a mason jar, put about an inch of your favorite ground coffee in it, fill with water, screw on the lid and leave it overnight.

In the morning shake it up & strain thru a coffee filter. You will have a strong yet smooth brew that takes ice well & you can refridgerate. Delicious!

Another alternative is cold-brewed coffee. I don't love it, but I know people who do.

I drink a pot of coffee per day, minimum, but I'm really not picky about what it is. I buy coffee that's cheap and in a big can. I don't normally drink instant anymore, but I would gladly do so if you put a cup in front of me. Coffee is drunk black, or occasionally with a bit of cream. I never take sugar because I'm sensitive to the stuff and risk getting suddenly very groggy.

Outside of home, I usually go to Second Cup. They have a dark coffee, Caffé Venice, which I really enjoy. If I go to Tim Horton's, I usually fall to temptation and buy a chocolate donut, which means I suffer from the effects of sugar. I rarely buy fancy coffees, but when I do it's almost always a latte. I'm not sure exactly what a latte is (it's got milk in it, right? :) ), or how it's different from a cappuccino, but I like lattes anyways.

Oh, and I avoid coffee that makes my pee smell funny. I don't know what it is exactly, but there's this one blend from Van Houtte that gets me every time.

LOL. I don't know about nation-wide, but in the Washington, DC area, they just went up nine cents according to the news. I wouldn't know otherwise as I don't frequent them.
 
Many favorites: Currently drinking Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Indido Misty Valley; home-roasted (heatgun/dogbowl--of which I am the . . .uh, popularizer) 4 days rest.

This is a brilliant, fruity coffee when brewed, and I'm probably not getting it's full flavor value as espresso (La Spaziale Vivaldi II). I usually don't go for single origins, but this is a real treat.

:confused: I am surprised that whilst living on the island of Montreal that you have not cultivated a taste, or passion for coffee... especially with the cafes in the Quartier Latin, and in le vieux Montreal.

I might not have a passion for coffee, but I definitely do have a taste for it. I'm just too lazy to take action.

Try Lavssa red label, for ready ground, best I’ve found is from a local Pizzeria a blended coffee called Black Knight they sell me it for £8.00 a kg but I’ve no idea where they get it, but you’ll need a grinder; in my experience grinding fresh is the most important bit any old blend fresh ground is better than stale Blue Mountain
 
There is an Ritza in works canteen, when you need a break a large latte is just the thing open 08:30 till 15:30.

I am a conesseuer of fine kaffe.:) My favorite is a limited edition coffee from Gevalia called Harrar. It's a coffee from Ethiopia. Most of the time I drink Folgers simply smooth. If you have problems drinking coffee because of the acidity, then you should try the Folgers. I prefer my coffee black with one pack of thr pink stuff.
 
At home, Vermont Coffee Company Dark Roast made in a cone. A touch of chocolate syrup & some light cream- mmm.

When I can, a triple mocha, half syrup.

Couldn't make it through the day without at least three.
