Cameraleather.com has a new black or gray covering called "Griptac" that I put on one of my C35s (gray version) and it's great. Very, tough tacky feel, but not your classic look by any means. However, I really like it.

YES! It is a 3M product made for the handle of golf clubs--there is no equal.

And for stair treads! I (rather crudely) recovered one of my OM-1's with the gray Griptac, which can be purchased in roll form at the hardware store. The stuff is completely amazing, but i do wish i had Morgan's cut-job..

Just put Charcoal Griptac on my Leica M4-2 and it is definitely a more sure experience when picking up the camera. It has its own aesthetic appeal. Main thing is when going for the camera whether it's sitting on a table or hanging around the neck there's a new sureness about it being in one's grip. I am seriously thinking about putting it on my new MP, because the covering on that requires more "effort" between the fingers. This Griptac is utility at its best.

I recovered my M7 and M3 with Griptac. Can't even dream of something better. And aesthetically it's very nice, too!

I've used the stair tread stuff on the bottoms of my cameras--it works to protect the bottom, but it can't be used w/ a tripod or monopod mount.

I have Griptac on my MP and it transforms your handling experience of the camera. The best upgrade to an MP you could have, and Morgan is great to deal with.
