Thinking of ordering a new camera cover for my ZI from Cameraleather. I was thinking of the Brown Lizard Skin. So I have a couple of questions:
1. How easy or hard is this to do yourself in verses to sending the body to Morgan (I'd rather not do this.)?
2. Opinions on Dark Brown skin on a black body for aesthetics only.
Comments appreciated.

very easy to do by yourself, especially on a newer camera.

i don't like dark brown and i find it hard to match a skin on a black camera.

Agreed, it is easy to do yourself. I have recovered a few cameras myself, one just a couple of weeks ago. The only black camera I recovered got a red covering. :) I have the black lizard skin on my Canonet. It looks fantastic.

I just got black paradise snakeskin on the M5. Had them do it.

I e-mailed Camera Leather to inquire about covering my M 3
in grey lizard skin about 1 1/2 weeks ago and never got an answer. Is there a better way to contact these people?

'these people' is morgan sparks and he is a good guy.
i recommend that you email again as he is normally very prompt and friendly.

When I used the term "these people". it was not meant to offend
anyone and if I did I would like to apologize.

I've ordered a kit for my Bessa R2 as the original rubber was peeling off... Nice guy, even though a bit slow in sending email replies. I guess he's too busy, but if you keep asking I'm sure he'll eventually reply.

I've ordered an embossed leather kit for my Bessa, and the quality of the leather is first class.
