Yesterday my stepson called to tell about some photo equipment that was to be given away on freecycle. All i knew it was an enlarger & a few odds & ends. I called to set up a time to pick it up. Visually the equipment is in near new condition. Here is what I picked up.

Durst 302M enlarger with ex bulb
Nikon EL-Nikkor 50mmf/4N lens + filters
4 in1 easal for up to 8x10 prints
Delux Safelight
Veeder Root Time o light timer
Kodak automatic tray siphon (not sure what this exactally does)
4 trays w wood tongs
spot toneer
grain focuser
graduates & bottles
Ilford Multigrade IV FB fiber paper partial pack
2 packs of Ilford RC Paper 1 partial & 1 full unopened
stainless steel reels for 35mm & 120 w canister

I have an old Bogen enlarger but this Durst looks much nicer. Now time to make the spare bathroom a darkroom.

Kodak tray siphons turn trays in to print or sheet film washers, I always use a couple. If I am using RC paper, and want to make sure the prints are washed enough, I use two, one right out of the holding water, then the next to finish the job. Make sure your trays are big enough for good movement, and no overcrowding. The placement of the height of the device determines the depth of the water in the tank. I put the trays in a darkroom sink to allow easy draining.

Thanks! My birthday is next month.
John thanks for clearing this up. Now to get it set up & buy some paper developer & try my hand at printing. I think this is going to be fun.

Congratulations, and the price was right!

I will be moving soon and our new house has room for a darkroom in the basement. I have the enlarger and most of the stuff all ready to go.

Ha! That's where I got MY new darkroom set-up! Congratulations...and good luck with the bathroom: my enlarger is on a pair of trestles above my toilet....

That can prove convenient, same place as my first darkroom, but (I do not at all recommend this) I had to swap out the bulbs in the Xmas lights to red and toss them over the shower curtain rod. Grant you, the rest of the family did not always agree, we only had one toilet. ;-) John
