In the past few years I have stopped doing albums for events. Too much pressure and it stopped being fun. So now I tell folks to hire someone to do the "pro" shots and I will prowl around and just shot what I want. The result is that they get a nice album of their wedding, etc. and usually I give them a CD of 800 X 600 watermarked photos that they can choose from. When they do I charge them $140 a shot and give them a Pro lab 11 x 14 print and a 6 meg scan. Seems to be working. This is not my main livelihood so it is just a form of $$ appreciation.
Any further suggestions? I usually end up selling about 3 per event.

Seems like fun, I will try your plan. Although I doubt anybody will pay USD 140 for a print here in the Philippines.

Sounds great - no pressure for you, and they can blame the hired photographer if he/she does not is not up to scratch...

My guess is that you end up with some really good shots - at least from time to time? I would think that having no pressure should make it easier being creative, and not having to nail all of it makes for a more artistic approach... Would for myself at least.
