I'm thrilled, I gotta share!
Look what I found on the fleamarket today. Agfa Super Solinette (Ansco Super Regent) with 3.5 50mm Solinar lens. Leather bellows!
Works awesome, even the slow speeds. Lens is like new. $7
Anybody has one of those? They are really well built.
Can't wait to shoot with it.

Hi Herbert. Yes I have one. Very nice little folder. I ran some test against my Vito II. The Solinar lens was not quite as sharp but still very good, and of course it has that very nice rangefinder which the Vito lacks and at that price it's a steal. I paid about $30.00 for mine. The focusing tends to be tight on these, how is yours in this regard ?

Hi Howard,
the focus ring is surprisingly smooth. I thought I have to remove the famous Agfa green stuff, but this one seems ok. I have a Vito B and really like the color Skopar. I hope the Solinar is close.
I will post some photos once I have some...

The Super Regent a.k.a. Super Solinette hold their own at f/5.6 and above, with nice color rendition as well. Have fun setting the film counter. You have to manually set it A - once the film is loaded at the beginning of each new roll of film. Other than that, the only other hassle is remembering to set the tension the shutter before each shot.

I got the regular Solinette, but even as perfect as it is, it has the garbage bellows. I contacted Jurgen and he won't replace. I have a Medis rangefinder to really make it work, so if anyone knows of a place to replace the bellow let me know. Here is one from the only roll I put though, and not effected by the bad bellows:

I had good success repairing a bad bellows on an Isolette with liquid electrical tape. If you don't use too much, it works really great.

Use real gaffer's tape to repair bellows. It's very flexible and has very little residue. I'll sometimes reinforce the bond with a small amount of contact cement.

The Super Solinette is a sweet little camera. Very much underrated.

Well, I was out shooting today. The photos are really surprisingly good. The camera needs some work on the transport mechanism and the rangefinders vertical alignment is off, but otherwise this camera is a bargain! Well built and the photos are really well rendered and sharp.
