photo story; Crowded Manila; 35mm f1.2 Voigtlander

buckpago,

Thank you for the story and the photographs. I have also enjoyed your exhibition quality photographs with the Leica 35mm f1.4 Summilux pre-Asph in the past.

The story of the Philipines is the story of a lot of developing countries. A lot of well-educated people cannot be absorbed by the economy, so have two choices, get a job below one's qualifications, or become a guest worker in another country. The health care system in the US would come to a grinding halt if all the Filipino health care workers (doctors and nurses mostly) left today.

I hope it all works out. I'll be long dead before that happens.

thanks guys, perhaps you can also viste my new site:

https://sites.google.com/site/buckpago/

@den: hey there man, where are you here in manila? I live in QC. perhaps we can meet up.

Hey Buck! Like you I'm also a member of RFFilipinas. But I seldom visit this and other sites because of work related reasons. I don't have time to shoot and I still have unprocessed films in the fridge from last year. Mahirap dalawa ang trabaho. Kaya patingin tingin nalang muna kapag may oras. Hopefully, one of these days I'll have time to join your get together or out of town shoots. I'm from Tandang Sora.

Again, great work Buck!

Incredible stuff. Coincidentally, it was the poignancy of a similar photo essay that got me started on the idea of owning a rangefinder some five years ago. I get that same thrill looking at your work.
