Elmar Lang
Well-known
Hello,
on the past Saturday, at a flea market I've bought for 50,- Euro a nice Kiev4 made in 1978, with built-in exposure meter and equipped with its usual Jupiter 53 mm. f/2 and original leather case.
Compared to the earlier cameras of the same type, it appears as less carefully finished; the "leather" is in fact plastic of inferior quality ( I think I'll change it with bookbinder's morocco leather, during the long, winter evenings).
Besides that, it seems working fine and the exposure meter is accurate, giving the same indications as my fine Gossen Lunalite, when pointed to the Kodak Grey Card.
Now, I've loaded this camera with a dia-film and I hope it will give the same results as my other, older, kievs.
Best wishes,
Elmar Lang
