I have a few questions about Orion adapters, for Nikon S mount lenses.

1. did they make on for Nikon S mount (RF mount) to Leica LTM?

2. are there any identifying markings on the adapter, showing that it is from the ORION company?

thanks
Vick

orion adapters

orion adapters

first ones were made for contax cameras and were not marked, later ones are marked contax and nikon, the orion coupler is on the camera, the stewarty is in the center, cooke and perkins on the right, the one on the left is from a contax close-up set, (usually found and mis-labeled on ebay) ,

the Orion couplers are not marked by Orion,

just for anyone's information, the cooke and perkins was for internal mount contax lenses, the stewarty was for external mount contax tele lenses, the orion worked with wide & tele mount lens, both internal and external mount lenses, the other mount shown, went with a close up set that was sold with 4 parts, it was in an a photography magazine ad in 1948 sold for use with contax cameras,

Did something happen to the photos? They don't seem to be visible on my computer.

You may already know this, but there is a fellow in Venezuela (Amedeo Muscelli) who has machined many adapters for both Contax and Nikon-S mount lenses. I have two and they are very well made. A search RFF or eBay for "Amadeo adapter" will get you started. This assumes that you are looking for a user-solution not a collector solution. Amadeo's adapters are quite reasonably priced compared to the Orions that I have seen . . .

[Edit. Duh. I see that you are asking for LTM cameras. This probably would be a special order.]
[Further edit: thanks for the corrections furcafe!]

Just a small correction: He's "Amedeo" (he's on the RFF, too, as "Amedeo Muscelli") & based in Venezuela. IIRC, he used to offer the LTM adapters as a standard item (I have 1 for Nikon RF, 1 for Contax), but now they're special order (harder to manufacture).

Thanks
I have a few of Amadeo's adapters.
I was thinking about the "real thing", but they cost about $1K

Similar adapters (Ebay item: 400104295374) have been on sale for a while. They appear to make both Nikon and Contax variants and given that they're not too bad a price, I was wondering if anyone had any experience of them?
