Klasse W - a thing of beauty...

Maiku, I hope you're using the "C4" setting with your Klasse, I find it reduces shutter lag noticeably. Great photos by the way, can't wait to pop some slide film in my Klasse once the sun starts shining here in Sweden.

Some more photos taken with the Klasse W. I am finding the 28mm a bit wide for my taste, but I cannot complain about the results.

Nice shots, Maiku. The 28mm definitely takes some getting used to if you were using longer focal lengths. But it can definitely work, as your shots show.

I really like the shot at the train station. There is something about these fujinon's.. they're just make everything look so good!

Some really great shots here!

Does anyone know the truth around the similarities between the Klasse and the Rollei AFM35? I've read that they are essentially the same camera.
Yes, I've read that as well. The Rollei was sold in Europe.

This Klasse has peaked my interest in Minolta TC-1, Ricoh GRs, Nikon Tis. UgH!
No wonder. Those cams are little gems! Even used they go for high prices - but not without a cause. ;)

Still in love with this little camera.

That Klasse W listing on JapanExposures is a bit expensive. I bought mine last night from Map Camera for just 41k yen. I was going to get the used one, but the difference is only 5,5k yen! So I bought brand new.

More from Fuji Klasse W. Shot on Fuji Acros 100. Expired 2007.

I have a gr1v which I love but I'm really wanting to get a Klasse S now and shoot them both..
I noticed that the Klasse cameras shoot up to 1/1000 compared to the 1/500 on the GR's which is always nice to have.

Also I noticed that the prices for used Klasses in Japan are fairly low (under 30k yen) so I will definitely be picking one up next time I am there..

Any others who have shot with both the Klasse and the GR1? I'd be interested in hearing more comparisons.

I shot another roll trying to convince myself to keep this camera.

Maiku, those are great! Where were they taken? I just got a Klasse S and I've gone through two rolls already. Hopefully they will be scanned tomorrow.

I hope it's okay to post these here. They're shot with my original Klasse (38 f/2.6) on Ektar 100. Drug store scan. No edits.*

I recently acquired this magical camera.

I can honestly say that this is the sharpest P&S camera I've ever owned and the 28mm focal length is perfect.

I often wondered what the 24mm Natura would have been like but after playing with this camera for a couple rolls I really don't care :D :D

Even wide open at f2.8 the lens is awesome. I don't notice any heavy light fall off or vignetting. It looks rather pleasing if you ask me.

Stan - f2.8, Kodak Plus-X dev'd in Xtol 1:1 @ 72F

I haven't bothered to check for distortion but I don't always shoot landscapes where I would notice that I think.

Wine Barrels - f?? (but not 2.8), Rebranded Fuji Superia 400

This is the perfect P&S camera imho. I'm very much an aperture priority type of shooter so the AE in this cam is excellent when I am able to shoot wide open. The AE in general is very good - I'm not sure what Fuji did but I honestly think I may have a tough time screwing up the exposures with this camera *LOL* :)

The copy I received is not completely functional (there are some minor electronic issues in the viewfinder) but that doesn't stop the camera from performing as it should for me. If you've been able to use the Contax G series of RF cameras then you'll have no concerns with this P&S.

What an awesome camera...

Cheers,
Dave
