I have a GF1 and I've been using a voigtlander color skopar PII 35mm lens with the GF1. I got a cheap m-mount to m4/3 adapter from ebay.

Well I've found that the focus doesn't match up with the distance scale on the lens. infinity focus is actually 3mm left of infinity..

Is this normal for the m-mount to be used on m4/3? Or should I expect the focus to line up with the distance scale exactly?

It's always better to buy very good adapters - you will have best results with good adapter and common lenses than with cheap adapters and great lenses.

Does your mount rattle? If not, the problem is thickness.

the mount is solid.

Upon closer look it looks like the distance scale is consistently closer than it actually is...

So basically what you guys are saying is that - There is a fixed distance from m-mount lens to the sensor plane and that distance is controlled by the m-mount-> m4/3 adapter and all adapters should have the same amnt of thickness?

yeah i guess the distance scale doesn't really matter... maybe I'll make a separate marking to account for the offset...
