A few photos from Manchester visit

Born & raised in Manchester so those clouds in Stalybridge look awfully familiar! I really like your use of light - great pics.

No.1 taken in Staley-vegas is my fave, Although it's hard to resist cute kittens.

Drop me a line next time if you'd like some company next time you're in Manny Tobin. There's a small informal group of us who are always out an about shooting.

We have a thread here where we tend to announce any outings.

All the best,

Bob.

Har! Actually the last four days in Boston have been very Manchester-like. The rain was so intense it woke me up this morning, hard to do on a Saturday morning after the night before...

Did I really need to move 3K miles for the same weather?

Right! I like mushy peas and my wife cooks peas that are like little bloody rocks! Also I really miss steak & kidney pies. :( Anyway we're OT...

Richard, Dan, Peter - thanks for the compliments guys! Think 1 is my favourite too.

Bob, thanks for the invite. Would be really up for that, I'd learn a ton too. Your shots on that thread are so crisp and well posed! Did you do any with an R-D1? I'm not over to Manchester that often, but this sounds like a good excuse to get over the Pennines.

Bob, do you do photography for a living? I'll be sure to drop you a line on the off-chance you're about, I'm finding it hard to talk anyone into roaming the streets with me :)
