I gave the M5 some love in the poll Francisco. I think the Biogon on a black M5 would be pretty sweet!

Well, I am a sucker for the M6 but also, I like the hood on the Lux better. Then, the black strap is more elegant.

But, now I have GAS. Thanks a lot...;)

For me this becomes a two selection choice, Francisco. There is no way an M5 will ever look cooler than an M6—especially a chrome M6! :p I like the first option with the Biogon. For me the rectangular hood on the Lux clutters the look.

Gotta say I'm a sucker for a lens hood with right angles. The M5 is a great camera but pretty it is not. M6 and the 'lux FTW!

That M5 has got a certain 'something'... a kind of 'hunk-i-ness' that makes it stand out amongst all the prima donnas. And I'd vote for a silver Voigtlander 35/1.2 for a little more 'muscle'. :)

M5 and Summilux. gotta love the square-ish combo.
The Biogon with the round shade matches the M6 lines better, i think.

That was my first reaction too. Square and angular hood from 'lux go with square and angular design of the M5, but the Biogon softens the look a bit.

So far, the votes are overwhelmingly in favor of the M6-lux combo.

Yep, when you look at the M6, you see a rectangular camera with rectangular rangefinder windows and other rectangular shapes, and the rectangular hood is a perfect match. Especially since it goes on a fast Lux!:)

Am I right in thinking that's a summicron rectangular hood? How did you go about cutting out the corner? It looks very expertly and cleanly done.

Nigel, that's the Summilux rectangular hood, and it comes already with a cut-out. It's kinda necessary, as the lens is fairly large (takes a 46mm-size filter), unlike the 'cron, which takes a 39mm filter and blocks very little from the viewfinder.
