Hope this isn't silly to post, but some serious eye candy...if you like the hammertone that is. I'll likely never see one in person. this is as close i'll get... This could be yours for the low price of $7,400...

hammertone is cool, the zenit s has it and will cost you fifty bucks :D

7,400 $ is hefty but I like it :)

Don't know where you are but you might be surprised. I saw one in a very small town here in Vermont a few years back. During one of those big flea market type things. It was very crowded and I never did get close enough to the guy to see it up close, but it was unmistakable.

I have seen a couple for sale in various shops in Tokyo over the years, these cameras look ... "interesting" ...:D

I saw one at the LHSA meeting in St. Louis. Stefan Daniel had one at the meeting for show & tell. He said he wasn't sure about the looks of it at first; then finally managed, "I think it looks all right."

I won The 2 nd place drawing in the LHSA raffle about five years ago. It was the Hammertone MP set with the retro 35 asph Summicron and Leicavit. I personally like this finish better than black or chrome. I used it for several years and sold early this year.

lucky........

The LHSA Hammertone version was always grey, never green. I use to own one. Someone's goofed in the color balance of the image, that's all. Green (olive actually) was available on special military commissioned models many years ago. The sad thing about the Hammertone finish is that it's no more durable a finish than any of their enameled bodies, it just hides fingerprints better.
The asking price is outragous. When I bought mine new in 2003, it was $3500. Even new MPs now are "only" about $4000-4500.
