nothing, but sometimes I had to explain how much the camera will be after years!! "If I am not buying now, I will have to pay more later". This is what I used to say, of course, I needed to promise that I will sell the camera when we need money for family.

None, she is an enabler. Everywhere we go or whenever I see something interesting she enthusiastically says "you should get it!"

My girlfriend seems to be completely blind, when it comes to cameras.
I have all my cameras on a certain shelf, but I can flip them without her even noticing.
I once bought a big black Pentax DSLR and she didn't even get that.
Only camera she knows and forces me to keep is my X100.
I wouldn't go to far when I say, she likes the way it looks and doesn't even care about its capabilities.

Me, too. I have the equivalent of one or two pairs of her shoes into Nikon FG bodies. That's a lot of bodies, not so much money, though.

Ditto, with an ex she would go off on one if I bought film whilst spending loads on clothes. My wife on the other hand encourages me to get more film paper cameras etc

I didn't mention my Nikon D700 for a year or so but it wasn't a big deal since my wife doesn't pay much attention to my cameras. I have sold the D700. I don't really hide anything, I just don't announce new purchases. All my cameras are used. We sort of have a don't ask don't tell agreement between my cameras and her clothes. - Jim

A new MFT camera came in the mail a few days ago. Our younger daughter calls her a "hair product junkie" . On cue my said ... you're a "camera junkie"!
