I saw the funniest thing - Canon lens coffee cups. They were coffee cups that looked identical to high end Canon lenses, and the boxes looked "authentic".

Okay, someone has to make Noctilux coffee cups, with the triple boxes.

The Canon cups have been around ebay for some years. I am holding out for a perar dope pipe though.

Imagine the thief's surprise when he smacks out your car window,
only to find it's just a travel mug in your cupholder.

Pissed off enough he might trash your car completely.
What great fun!

I suspect it should hold more coffee than it actually appears to due to the barrel distortion!

Could be a fun time, pulling one out of your bag in a crowded place, preventing to attach it to your camera as though it was a real lends, and then send it bouncing down the stairs or escalator. Very childish.

And yes, someone should come out with a Noctilux, although the rangefinder prime lenses would not hole enough coffee for most, i fear.

I teach a summer class, and a couple of years ago one of my students, from Hong Kong, walked up with a Nikon lens case, pulled out a nice zoom lens, and said "I know you're a Nikon guy, so I brought you this from Hong Kong--they're pretty cheap there." and handed it to me. I didn't know what to say, until I had it in my hand and realized the weight was MUCH too light. Right up to then, I had completely taken the bait.

It's not too functional as a coffee cup; any overflow runs down inside (mine is a functioning zoom--not all are) and pools up in the back cap. The zoom mechanism is sticky from the start, but some Door-Ease turned out to be a great zoom lubricant.

It was a great present, though.

No joke! I've had one for a couple of years and NEVER leave it in my car, especially in plain sight. What's more, I fear packing for a job and not taking along the real 24-70mm.
