the think tank folks are wondering if i would like to review another bag...
and, of course i would love to!

any suggestions as to which one? are you guys curious about any one in particular?

i have always liked the looks of the urban disguise line but they don't seem to have the smaller ones anymore...

let me know! and thanks...

How about the "Airport International V2.0" rolling camera bag
combined with a ticket some place warm .... makings of a great review .

I love my Retrospective 5. It comfortably holds 2 M bodies, 3 lenses, filters, a couple Leicameters, hoods, caps, film, and more...and it looks good doing it! Mine is the pinestone color. I drag this thing everywhere and its build quality has never let me down. Great bag. Give it a review!

I checked out the 7 after reading your review. They only had the black one so I took a pass. When I get back to urban living again I will probably get one. It's so much more than just a camera bag. it's a work bag for my purpose. Xpro1 or M5, Rolleiflex, lens or two, Water battle and MBA 11".... all looks like it will fit in there plus plenty of room left for other gadgets, chargers and implements!
As to another bag. I can't think of what else I personally would look for. Like you I have 2 times as many bags as cameras! Some get used some just store things in the closet.
What is it they want to send you?

Hi Joe,

I vote for the "Airport International V2.0" also.
There are leading edge advancements in this bag design.
A lot of thought went into this bag. Plus it's "carry on".
So many positive things about this bag ;)

not sure how i would review it...would i have to go on a trip?

the 5 is a great bag...i use it as a daily carry and the 7 on the weekends.

Think Tank

Think Tank

I only discovered these excellent bags recently when a sales guy at a local camera store showed me one. Like most photographers, I own several bags, but with my rangefinder gear and similar stuff (M6, Ricoh GXR M-mount, Fuji X100) I like to work out of small bags and use wrist straps. I bought a Think Tank Retrospective 5 bag and have found it to be perfect for the Ricoh with 15, 35 and 50 mm lenses - plus a "backup" Ricoh zoom stuffed somewhere underneath it all. Take out the Ricoh and its zoom, drop in the M6 or TM Leica and off you go to shoot some film. The bag has all kinds of great features - the detailing is outstanding, especially the "hideaway" Velcro on the big flap. For those who want something that "doesn't look like a camera bag" it's ideal (thought this isn't a concern for me, even after decades of traveling the world). I'd love to hear more about these bags, and especially from you, Sir.

well, i finally decided which think tank bag i'd like to look at next...for a number of reasons i picked the sling-o-matic 10.
i've always liked the idea of a sling bag but most of them are too wierdly shaped for my liking. the tt bag seems like a more normal shape and if i can swing it around to grap gear easily that would be great. i wear my bags as far back as i comfortably can and swing them around to the front so having a bag that is more designed for that seems like a logical next step.
it was shipped today so i should have it in about 10 days.
looking forward to it.
