Some months ago I was here asking advise on places of interest in Dublin Ireland. Well, now back home and having developed all the films and scanned I think it would be fair to publish a small review of the trip.
I went there this April with my wife and 2 best friends (also with wives). I had 2 film bodies with me: M6 for color M2 for b&w and X100 as a back up.
28mm f3,5 Kobalux for wide 35mm f2 Biogon for all the rest and 50mm f1.1 Nokton for low light.
For color I used Fuji Superia 200. Fomapan 400 and Ilford hp5 were used for b&w.

Pat I. The Flight.

Our trip began in airport. We had some cheap tickets that must be why we had to spend 7 hours in Frankfurt waiting for the flight to Dublin:

We were eating, reading and even shopping just to kill time:

Part II. Just arrived.

It was evening already. The weather was great. Very warm. Our hotel was also great. I liked it:

And of course, we ended up into a pub:

The only beer an irishman understands is Guinness (have no idea why it looks lite.. might that be Harp..):

Part III. Dublin at daytime.

Well, the dublinners do like paint. They prefer painting to repairing. Even is you find something old and rotten in Dublin (very seldom indeed), it will shine with fresh colorful paint:

Allmost no new cars it the city, but lots of fancy old ones:

Nice bikes too:

The whole city is in blossom. Very beautiful:

..to be continued..

Part IV. Sightseeing.

One of the most impressive things in Dublin are buses. Two floor buses!

They are big and fast:

And those for tourists have no roof:

The second thing I was surprised with - bicycles for rent everywhere:

Many people use bicycles in Dublin..

From general sightseeing I also liked the old docks,

the zoo,

Thanks for reading the review.. Too long I am afraid and too many dumb tourist shots but I did like the Dublin city and wanted others to know it is still there to consider visiting..

Great shots!!

Looks like you had fun.
I studied in Dublin and your pictures evoked some good memories for me.

Great pics Klapka, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Dublin, I ashamed to say I think you've seen more of my city than I have, you have photographed more light houses than me for sure,I'll have to go looking for them. I enjoyed your pictures, thanks for sharing.
Tommy.
