Less gear + knowing your gear intimately = more.
Less pixel peeping and IQ specifics = more.

More worldly experiences = more.

Some 15 years ago I did a month long off road tour around Darwin,Kakadu, The Kimberley, Broome and Alice Springs.
I took only a Hasselblad 501c with the 80mm lens and a whole load of NPH film.
When I returned I printed the all negs with RA-4 in the darkroom.

That trip was my perfect photographic moment - never come close again.
More time, less gear and more travel.

For ME:

Less cameras/More cameras? Less works better generally.

Less lenses/More lenses? Less. 35mm-50mm only for me.

Less photos/More photos? More. You can never make too many photos (as long as you can keep up with actually developing, processing, printing them). Better to have more to edit from than too little.

Less light/More light? Either / or.

Tend to be happy with fewer bits and bobs, but getting the right stuff can be tricky. With cameras, I find there is a fine line between practical and desirable. I like my Zeiss Ikonta, but a Mamiya 7 would be more practical in many circumstances. I just don't desire one, at the moment.

Less is more when out and about ... but more back-up in the closet means less trouble when one camera / lens fails...

Less is definitely more. The older I get, the less I want to futz with, the less I want in my equipment cabinet, in my bag and hanging around my neck.

Generally, you can press the shutter of only one camera at a time! 

Having the right one with you is a different question. (That question gets easier when you have fewer choices...)

More is more and I like having lots of toys and lots of choices.

If it pleases you to have a simple set up, excellent. Just don't go all church elder on the rest of us, who prefer a different style.

2 bodies (a 50 on each) and 2 other lenses (28/90)+film/sd/batteries is pretty much everything I would need. the whole stuff weighs 3.5kg. compared to 15kg dslr equipment my back is still kissing my butt in joy:D

couldnt live without film and I feel that digital is important too. a good balance makes the perfect thing
