Polaroid SX-70 ... ?

Figured I'd add these here too...

All made with Polaroid SX-70 and Impossible Project Silver Shade UV+ film

Thanks for looking! Comments always appreciated.

I've seen one at this antigue store for 40 bucks but the viewfinder is all blacked out... I want to but it but scared to waste the money.

James, I've seen this in several cameras and usually (not always), I fix it as follows:

1. open the film door and remove whatever film cartridge is there.
2. spray some contact cleaner (from radio shack or elsewhere) on the copper contacts you can seen on the bottom of the film compartment.
3. let the contact cleaner soak for a few days. Periodically re-spray and scrub contacts with a toothbrush.
4. insert a fresh pack of film (or a fresh empty pack), and push the shutter button. This will hopefully cause the mirror to go back down and you are ready to shoot!

I like your pencils, Ped! :)

Just loaded the Hasselblad 500CM for the first time.
Have two shots yet available in the Voigtländer Perkeo II.
Just loaded the Polaroid SX-70 too ...

Sheesh! Too many cameras! I want to shoot with them all!

Been thinking of getting an SX-70 (Sonnar version) for a while. Big hinderance for me is the expensive Impossible films.

I just took this yesterday of a model friend and her boyfriend. SX-70 with Impossible Project film.

Yes, the film is expensive. I just manage how much of it I shoot. All film is expensive to greater or lesser degree.

And I think you end up with more than just a print - somehow the finished product is so tactile and fascinating.
