Every time I think about trading in my RD-1x for an M9 I see a picture like this and change my mind. Awesome picture! Would you share info about your lens and setttings? Thanks, Steve

Indeed. When I saw this image, I thought, if Fritz Lang had Color Film for his movies, Metropolis would contain images like this. Really great.

thanks for the kind words! when i saw the photo in lightroom i realized it was a definite keeper.

well, the shot was taken in raw with the CV 35 color skopar II (first version, thread mount) with the default lens hood

I believe the aperture was around f4 or f5.6 at 1/55th and ISO 800, and the lighting was really flat due to a bit of cloud cover and the fact that the sun had just set.

post processed in lightroom with a crop and bumping up the vibrance a bit, but not much else.

I broke out the R-D1 after at least a year of sitting. I needed new batteries and have been infatuated with my fuji x100. But anyway, I went around the block and grabbed this image with the cv35/1.7. I kinda forgot how awesome and fun using this camera can be.

New to this forum, but I love the RD-1. I picked one up last year and it has become my go-to camera. I appreciate the simplicity -- how it forces you to slow down and think about what you are attempting to capture. A few examples:
