Description:

SOLD! If you are looking to shoot regularly with a legend, this early Kodak Ektra 35mm Rangefinder Camera Serial number 2196 is for you.

Camera Works. All shutter speeds are good as my film exposures were right on. Wind is easy and smooth and the shutter has a nice touch to it.

Viewfinder is clear and bright and moves through the range of focal lengths easily.

Split image focus window is about as good for one of these as I've seen. Clear and bright. Not totally perfect but excellent for a nearly 80-year old camera. Diopter adjust for both the viewfinder and the rangefinder work just fine.

Camera was given a "light" clean and lubrication and the rangefinder was adjusted a year ago. It was purely preventive maintenance to keep it going. -- Camera alone (no lens)  Camera comes with ground glass back and case -- $900.00

Lens is a very early 50mm and has a non "Camerosity" serial number of 772, meaning it is pre 1940 in manufacture. There is a little dust inside, but otherwise seems to be a good lens. (It renders well on film). Lens alone with front cap is $500.00

I love this camera, but I'm moving to exclusively large and medium format with my film work. Can't justify this camera anymore. It needs to be used!

Payment is expected to be prompt and I will work to ship within one day.

Questions? Just ask.

Oh Man is that sweet. What with all those gadgets and gears, love cameras like this. Good luck with your sale! Bob.

Wow. Never seen a working Ektra for sale.
Can I ask is the Ektar lens yellow? This is from the era where most of the Ektars had thorium in an element. All my Cine-Ektars are a bit yellow and quite radioactive.

Just saw everyone's comments. I had fun with it while it lasted and it just sold today. I can say I owned two of those gadgets with all the dials.... and the lens was not yellow at all.
