Best Offer $60.00 Great

Finally time to let go of my film Leicas — I haven't had much time for them since buying the M240 and it doesn't look like that's going to change. They've always been kept in my dry cabinet when not in use.

I bought both within a 6–8 month span and alternated rolls between the cameras: 1 roll through the M2, 1 roll through the M6, shooting about 1 roll a week. So they've been regularly, but relatively lightly, used.

Leica M2: USD 850 (or nearest offer)

In great condition with the viewfinder, rangefinder, framelines, frameline selector, and basically everything as good as when I first bought it in 2014.

Shutter speeds all sound "correct" — 1/50 and above sound pretty much spot on, with 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and 1 sounding a little on the slow side as seems to be the norm.

Self timer works fine.

The winding mechanism is buttery smooth.

Cosmetically it's taken on a few scratches to the chrome, and a few nicks to the corners of the top plate near the winding lever, but nothing major. A small chunk of leatherette is missing at the tripod mount side, and a little missing under the lens mount. There is an almost imperceptible dent in the top plate at the serial number, realistically you can only just about feel it.

Leica M6: USD 1200 (or nearest offer) SOLD

Pretty much in the same condition as the M2 (except this one doesn't have a self timer): everything works just fine; cosmetically a few dings. Notably, the baseplate at the lock side has a small dent right at the corner: this is still light-tight and doesn't affect getting the plate on and off.

There are 2 small scratches on the upper edge of the viewfinder glass. This doesn't affect usability at all.

The backplate seal is light-tight, but the foam strip at the bottom edge has disintegrated and this makes the plate stick to the body a little (you need to use a little bit of pressure to lift the plate). I've never found this to be a problem in practice.
