Description:

Two Super Nettels for sale.

Super Nettel – SN F40256 – f/3.5 Tessar – $600

Excellent cosmetic and working condition.  No “zeiss bumps” – leather and black enamel in really excellent condition (very slight brassing on top edge of body near shutter speed dial and on top of finder).  See photos. Refurbished by Henry Scherer in 2011, including top to bottom CLA, new shutter tapes and new leather bellows from UK bellows maker, at a cost of $555.  For those not familiar with Mr. Scherer, his web site is:  http://www.zeisscamera.com/first.shtml

Top two shutter speeds are approximately one stop slow.  1/250 is about 1/3 stop slow.  This may be because the shutter has not been regularly exercised for several years.  Speeds were tested last week and were as follows:

1/1000 = 1/475

1/500   = 1/277

1/250   = 1/180

1/100   = 1/125

1/50     = 1/85

1/25     = 1/22

1/10     = 1/15

1/5       = 1/5 (approx. – not tested)

Payment by PayPal (Buyer pays PayPal fees of 2.9%) or USPS money order (preferred).  Shipping by Priority Mail, insured, to CONUS only (no international buyers).   I will cover shipping to buyer – buyer will pay return shipping should a return be necessary.

I have sold only one item on RFF – a 50mm f/1.4 S-Nikkor in 2014.  I’ve bought a few items ranging from a 2005 Nikon SP kit in 2008 from a certain well-known RFF regular located in Japan, and most recently a Pen-F/Nex adapter in 2014.  I have  195 very positive feedbacks on eBay as ds-in-sf (I used to live in San Francisco), but they are quite old – I sold all my professional photo gear on eBay in 2004, so look at the early feedback to see sales.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.
