Description:

For sale are a number of lenses for Leica M or LTM mount and a Contax G 90mm

1. Nikon S 3.5cm f1.8 converted to Leica M mount [$750]

This Nikon 3.5cm f1.8 that was originally in Nikon rangefinder mount, modified for use in Leica M mount cameras with rangefinder coupling. Lens can also be used on mirrorless cameras with appropriate adapter (none included).

Modification required disassembly of the rear element from its mount, trimming the mount of the rear lens element to ensure it clears the Leica rangefinder cam. The rear lens element had to be glued to the its modified mount. The mount is 6-bit coded (as 35mm summicron) but is not recognized correctly on my M240. This may be due to the quality of the adapter used. I did not attempt to modify the size of the pits of the coding.

The original rangefinder coupler was removed and replaced with a coupler for Leica M. The mount used is a Pixco Nikon/Contax RF to Leica M mount, with branding removed and sanded for zebra look. Adapter also modified to bring up 35mm frame lines. This lens was also modified to focus closer to 0.8m instead of 0.9m.

The rear element has very light scratches. The front element have a few dot-sized imperfections that appear to be behind the front element (shown in first two photos). These have no effect on images taken with then lens. The lens body has wear but are very minimal.

Included are a generic M mount rear cap and 43mm front cap. Also included is generic 48mm vented hood.

2. Voigtlander Prominent Nokton 50mm 1.5 with Leica M adapter [$750]

This Nokton lens for the Voigtlander Prominent has been adapter to Leica M using an adapter bought off eBay. Adapter has been adjusted for focusing. The lens itself is in overall good condition. There is a small scratch on the front element of the lens as shown in the photos. The lens may also have dust and light cleaning marks but overall in good condition for its age. Also included is an orginal hood, an original plastic push-on front cap that is loose and cracked in a couple of places. A generic rear Leica M cap is also included.

3. Voigtlander S Skopar 50mm f2.5 Nikon RF converted to M mount [$280]

This Voigtlander S Skopar 50mm f2.5 was originally in Nikon rangefinder mount. It has been converted to M mount by using a Pixco Nikon/Contax RF mount adapter. The lens has been modified to add the rangefinder coupler. Lens is coded to 50mm Summarit but my M240 is not recognizing the coding. The pits for the 6-bits may not be correctly aligned.

Included are the original hood, front cap and a generic M mount rear cap. Also included is the original box as well as the removable grip.

4. Leica Minilux Summarit 40/2.4 M mount [$900]

I bought a user condition Leica Minilux with the intention of converting the lens to Leica M mount after reading about the conversion kit from Chad Wadsworth's article about the lens. I did the conversion myself. In the process of disassembly I scratched the nameplate. The lens is in overall good condition, no significant flaws. The new lens body works well, of course not in the same level of construction but gives this stellar lens a chance to be used on Leica M bodies. Please check the photos and ask any questions. I also included a couple of sample photos in the gallery.

Lens will come with generic M rear cap and generic 43mm center pinch cap.

5. Nikon 5cm f2 LTM collapsible [$450]

This is a lens rarely seen for sale. I have two copies of this lens and this one for sale is the one in better condition.

The lens is in generally good condition for its age. Body has minor blemishes. Lens elements have cleaning marks or dust. Aperture blades have oil. Locking when extended is not as firm as my Summitar but works okay.

Lens will come with generic plastic screw rear cap and generic aluminum screw front cap.

Glass and body in excellent condition. Includes caps and aftermarket black GG-2 cap clone.

7. Techart TA-GE1B Contax G to Sony E adapter [$100]

This is the older model that works with contrast detect focus. It is slower than the newest model. Works good enough but excels for manual focus.
