The Summitar is an f2 lens, not an f1.2, for the sake of clarity.

Sundowner said. More importantly, that's not a Leica IIIF. From the serial number, it's a Leica IIIa from 1935. In addition to the serial number, the pics show the camera missing features that the Leica IIIF models have: it does not have the unibody construction of the IIIc and IIIF models, and the film winding knob does not have the little windows. It also lacks a self-timer, which I understand the IIIF models had (but I could be mistaken about that).

That's actually a Leica IIIa, not a IIIf. It's from a batch made in 1935.

Not that is not a good camera, but it is not what is being offered.

@ Bingley, the IIIf could be had with or without a self-timer. But you are right, this one is no IIIf.

Yea with 1000 shutter speed and sn# its a 111a with a flash sync.  Never seen sync on a III before.  The ring on the sync is missing btw.

Ad is still up with the wrong model number.
