A7 images, any lens

The following are shot with an A7s (Ver. 1).

Incidentally although this camera only has a very modest (by today's standards) 12 megapixel sensor, it certainly lives up to its reputation of being able to handle pretty well any lighting conditions with aplomb. I have only shot it once or twice at super high ISO in dark conditions and can also testify to the fact that you can take acceptable though certainly not perfect photos in moonlight with this camera. All of which means that it is also possible to handle any normal lighting thrown at it. Never the less I still find it useful to underexpose by half to one stop in really contrasty conditions as I do with any digital camera. Shadows come back beautifully in Lightroom with few IQ deficits.

How about a little Loxia love? After using the A7II for over a year just to scan negatives, I decided to give it try as a walking around camera. I had the Zeiss 35 2.0 Loxia and recently added the 21 2.8 and a 50 2.0 matching the trio I have for the M4. Getting use to the EVF but it will come with practice. Took a drive to the beach:

My recently revived FM and the FT2 that is also a film favourite. The winder had jammed on the FM but I found the problem and unstuck it. The contrast here reminds me of Agfapan 25 film, even though it was shot on the A7III with 55 Sonnar at ISO 1000.

I have used non standard lenses on the A7 III but rarely. Never on the old A7 II. I use mostly the 24 - 240 zoom which has been a good lens for me. Good color and definition. The Sony/Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 is my only other lens for this camera.

Here are a couple of old ones from the II and a couple newer ones from the III. These are excellent cameras in my experience.

I should use this camera more often.

Nice shots!
I use my II once in a while too. I doubt I'll ever get rid of it. Too comfortable using manual lenses on it.
