Canon, Inc.

“Ten years ago Nikon unveiled the Df, an homage to traditional SLR’s in the era of digital photography. Unlike Nikon’s digital offerings, the Df re-introduced the traditional knobs and dials film shooters loved so much and packaged that on a digital platform.”

“Today, with a resurgence in film photography, Canon has unveiled the Fd: its first film camera since the EOS 1v whose production ended in 2010. However, not only has Canon brought back the traditional controls that any Canon F-1N user would feel comfortable with, they have introduced the Fd as a modern film camera that will accept not only current RF lenses, but with adapters the Fd will also accept both the EF and the legendary FD series lenses which were introduced in 1971 and which lasted until 1987.”

But will it take Ding lenses?

It is probably more likely that Canon and Nikon would merge, than that Canon would re-release lenses in FD mount.
