Different XPan1 vs XPan2 rangefinder magnification?

I have two XPans. Actually, one TX1 and one TX2. The rangefinder boxes seem quite different in terms of framing and magnification. Things appear a lot further away with the TX1. It's true to the framing lines but I would have expected them to be the same.
