I had this lens for a long time now :

It is a Zeiss Biogon, factory mounted in LTM during the war, shown here with a common 1950s j12: the rear of the Biogon can cause problems in a lot of camera bodies, Leica copies included. So I never had time to hunt down a proper screwmount Leica (the body it was made for) to mount it, and never used it... Frustrating.

I'd rather have a IIIC or later : I had a III once and found it a bit "light". I was thinking of either picking up a IIIf with the last shutter full of ball bearings, the cheapest postwar IIIC I can find (not sure I'd like the sharkskin and its peeling chrome), or a proper wartime stepper. The first two options are 300eur and up, the last one is much more it seems. Here are some tempting listings I saw on ebay (I'm in France) :

What do you think? Any recommended sellers of screwmount Leicas in Europe? Working with a dealer can be a solution because a repair might cost more than a body...
