I never use this function since I shoot my M lenses on film. From what I read, the adjustments are best applied to RAW files not scans...plus, I don't really mind the aberrations in my lenses.

I was impressed by the amount of CV lenses supported!

If you choose lens manually it will apply corrections.
My CV 35 2.5 PII is good without it. :)

In my discussions with Adobe, apparently the best technique

is shooting the CV lenses

with no bar coding or Leica lens corrections,

and then using the Adobe corrections afterward.

That certainly simplifies the picture taking!

Certainly Good news. Shame I sold my 12mm F5.6.

I've wanted Zeiss to do this for their ZM lenses for a long time, and always only use the Adobe corrections for Leica lenses.

I have now tested my CV 21mm f/4 Skopar II (VM) lens on the Leica M9 with and without the new Lightroom 5.7 Lens Corrections.

I'm very pleased. I shot the images with lens coding on automatic and the lens is uncoded. No other adjustments were made to the files.

There is still some red at one edge and green at the other, but it's not too bad. I'll need to test the efect of lens coding (AS WHAT?), and also the effect of combining lens coding and the LR corrections.

But since the LR correction also correct for distortion, I predict that double correction via coding and LR will over-correct the distortion.
