LUMIX LX100 (Is it a superb camera?)

yeah the air has to go somewhere, i think the allegation is that (as with the ricoh gr/grii) there's either no or an inadequate seal around the lens as far stopping dust ingress does, but potentially dust is an issue on any lens that either zooms or unfolds (or presumably, focuses externally).

that said i've had an lx100 and a couple of grii's but never had a dust issue. so environment and treatment by owner may be factors. i put mine in a plastic bag if they're going in a coat pocket for example. and i don't generally go to dusty places these days.

have seen it said that a vaccuum cleaner applied near the lens can help clear the dust, but not tried it myself.
