minolta dimage scan multi pro - wrong driver

I have got it to show the correct driver - but the windows message is

The device cannot start (code 10)

So still in the same situation

Had my minolta dimage scan multi pro working on an XP laptop, the laptop broke, got another XP laptop and re-installed the software

This time the driver that was loaded was
Minolta#2887
not
Minolta DiMAGE Scan Multi PRO

hence when I go to scan it cannot find the scanner

Tried 4 or 5 times to re-install the software, but always gets the same result

I used the DS115 executable

Any help greatly received

Vuescan is the answer. It's about $75 (at least at the time I bought it) for the pro version. It's worth every penny...

OP: After Yahoo last year terminated the Yahoo MultiPro group (which had existed since 2003) some of the group members started a new group. You could join the new MultiPro group and probably receive advice from very competent people:

Try to buy a Mac PowerPC G5 machine. It is cheap and you can run photoshop also.

Download vuescan - it states it cannot find scanner

Works fine for my Dimage. Send an email to the developer, he'll reply.

Make sure you have scanner on, then launch Vuescan
