Peculiar naming. My original 58mm f.:2 Biotar which belongs to the first Contax SLR was made by Zeiss,, so I presume that the naming rights have lapsed since then.

I have been looking at these new Meyer Optik lenses, I really appreciate that they make them in K mount. They're a little steep, but I can't quite kick the dream of putting one on my K-1 Mark II. Seems like a match made in heaven.

I think I would like a 75/1.5 Biotar in M mount....but the lack of RF coupling leaves me cool. Considering the price of these new biotar, it helps me decide to pass. Oddly, if the price for an RF coupled version was just a little more than the uncoupled models I would be interested again. Not sure how much of a premium is appropriate but it won't happen anyway....
