Been looking at these for several months. Being cheap prices from $65 at Amazon was just this side of too much. Then, last Saturday the Pergear site had them for $55, no shipping, no tax. Got out the CC and ordered on the spot. Just couldn’t pass it up. (Went back Monday and the deal had ended.)
Arrived today, first impressions;
Enough resolution, solid build, focus lever nicely damped, and a front lens cap that, if it said ‘Leica’ on it would cost twice what the lens did.
Small quibble, you can just shove the focusing lever over to infinity and blaze away. The lever (on my sample at least) needs to between infinity and the downward chevron marks. As Ron Popeil was fond of saying ‘set it and forget it’
Unlike the focus lever on my Olympus 15mm f8 body cap lens this lever tends to stay put.
Only about 3X the price of a large pizza, initial impression, it is a keeper!
