Wow, that's a radical idea. LMAO I'll be there of course. The Thypoch Simera 50mm f/1.4 will not arrive until 6 January so I cannot hang that off a camera and bring it along. February, Yes, coffee and learned discussion. Virtual seats for Helen in NYC and Alexander in Dubna, Russia. The incorrigibles assemble.

Hope to make this one!

OK, Miles and I met. Miles showed up with some more great iron. A sweet, like-new Yashica TLR and a beautiful Voigtlaender Vito B. Both looked as if they had just come out of the shop window. He says he gets them off eBay, the Vito was an RFF Santa gift, but the Yashica did come from eBay. Miles wears a gun and mask when he shops. We spent a few hours straightening out the world and adjourned. I think Miles will post a pic of the show and tell.

Boojum brought the new Thypoch, too. The DOF scale is quite nice and I was tempted to run off with it. The coffee and stories were particularly good this week. According to Boojum, I have a lot of movies to catch up on.

Thanks to @KoNickon, the Vito is my new backpack camera during the work week.

For our next gathering on Saturday, February 1st, at 12 noon, I'm going to propose that we move to the Crema Coffee + Bakery that's located within Taborspace (a repurposed presbyterian church). There is a bit more space inside and parking is easier for those who plan on driving to the event.

5441 SE Belmont St. Portland, OR 97215

Apologies for missing the event. Uncle duty called unexpectedly and old glass does not mix well with small children! 😂

Man, Miles and I had a brawl with the other folks who wanted to take your saved seat. They are aggressive in that place. Maybe it is the coffee. Miles was valiant. We fought off about seven people, it was brutal. LOL

Looking forward to seeing you in February.

Hope the blood didn’t stain the fine leather wrapping of your cameras! 😏

Well, it did. Miles and his fists were really bloodied and there was blood on several tables. Those folks had no idea who they were screwing with. Miles could clear out a dockside saloon. And fast, like those Asian Kung-fu/Akira Kurosawa movies. Don't mess with Miles!

Those classic cameras are a diversion for a classic Yakuza.
