Oh yes. It's on the backside of the mill. In fact, I don't even think you're supposed to go there. Is the second one also from Bodie? I don’t recall seeing any tracks near the mill.

That explains it. I went on a guided tour inside the mill and did not see the back. A ranger told me on top of the hill sits an old railroad station but that’s off limits so I was very curious about the track hoping you have some inside dope.

Thanks Pan. It is a miracle that the camera works. I've never seen another Contax 1 that worked flawless. Well, flawless ... the camera makes scratches on the back of the film that I have to retouch on the prints. I can't find anything that produces them. Next time I will open the camera in the darkroom without rewinding - maybe the scratches are caused by the rewind.Nice to see the little Contax and the Sonnar being still used. Nice capture too !

The Contax 1 is not so small, it is a lot bigger than a Leica lll. It weights with the lens 840 g.Nice to see the little Contax and the Sonnar being still used. Nice capture too !

I always thought the Contax 1 is a small camera - I have never seen one in person thought. You can run a bit of cotton on the back and rails and see where the cotton "catches ".The Contax 1 is not so small, it is a lot bigger than a Leica lll. It weights with the lens 840 g.

I tried the "no rewind" method: it was a success. No scratches at all.I always thought the Contax 1 is a small camera - I have never seen one in person thought. You can run a bit of cotton on the back and rails and see where the cotton "catches ".
