II/III after exposure a frame you need to push the center button then you are able to advance the film for next frame, occasionally, after you push the button the knob is locked you are unable to turn the knob. The issue is most likely related to the weak spring that pull the notched wheel or parts need CLA, if CLA does not solve the issue replace the spring.

I am waiting to receive my Rolleicord from an overhaul - I was experiencing similar issues (stiff focusing knob, slow shutter speeds sticking, lazy frame counter and occasionally it was difficult pressing the advance button to rotate the advance knob) and apparently all these were due to dried grease. Thanks for your post.

Some Rolleicord IIs have plastic push in unlock button, the holes where two screws hold the button can be broken off. Parts are difficult to find. I used a metal and abalone discs to replace the damaged plastic part.
