Nikkor LTM SAMPLES from 85mm f/2 Nikkor in LTM...??

Nikkor M39 screw mount lenses
That's correct (no difference in post). Also, if you pixel peep, the cron is a bit sharper in the corners. But then again, for portraits, the Nikkor "center punch" is useful, IMO. Here is for size comparison (ignore Bertha on the right). Earlier Summicrons are bigger and heavier.

Roland.

Thanks for comparison... I favor the Nikkor size, may allow a slower SS at f/2-f2.8 without flash

I had been in the same dilmena, but Nikkors are a wee cheaper. Summicron 90 start at $500, but you can find Nikkors for $300.

Here are some examples of the LTM, used with adapter on a M3.

Very nice Details and colors.. love the 1600 image.. didn't think 1600 was that clean and detailed..... what did you develop it in...

This one was shot at 5.6 - a little outside your range. But I'll post it anyway. From an 85 that I picked up recently for $250 off ebay.

I actually had the lab do that roll. I was in a rush to get pictures out to everyone and I had some 120 color film to send anyway. It was the first roll I took with Neopan 1600 and I liked the results a lot.

Another from a portrait session last weekend. So far, I am not regretting my decision to sell my Summicron and go with the Nikkor.

I dont use this lens often enough, but each time I use it, I cant seem to bring myself to consider selling this away :)

Its a great lens. I have a black one, which is lighter, yet still hard to focus on RD1s. But I love they way it draws even if I dont nail the focus every time:
