The real deal! Not one of those cheap knock-offs from Bavaria...

It really was stunning, matching interior colour, full rollcage and used throughout the year.

What appears to be a Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible following a DeLorean? Now that’s a combo rarely seen. Thanks for posting!

This photo is out of my league. I sometimes think someone borrowed the camera for it. A nice Bugatti at the former Mullin Museum.

@boojum - The image you posted caused me to investigate as it looks like the “Aerolithe” model that The Guild of Automotive Restorers out of Canada recreated several years ago. I wasn’t aware that the Aerolithe prototype with coachwork fabricated of magnesium was followed by four cars of the very similar design known as “Atlantics” crafted out of aluminum which is what this car formerly seen at the Mullin museum is. It seems that only 2 of the 4 built still exist. Speaking of Bugattis and other similar cars, did you happen to attend “The Shape of Speed” exhibit at the Portland Art Museum back in 2018? (For the record, I don’t really know much at all about Bugattis or any other cars built before the 1960s, but on occasion I do find them to be rather interesting, as was the case with the cars exhibited at the Portland Art Museum.)

The Mullin was gorgeous but has been dismantled by the heirs to Mullin's estate. I have a number of photos of he Bugattis and other cars there that you can find by following the link. No, I did not make it up to the PAM for the exhibit you wrote of. The PAM is a pretty good place. They had a wonderful Escher exhibit some years back. Maybe I will start making the trek more often. Thanks for the prod. ;o)
