It does render out of focus area very nicely and as you can see in this example there was a very bright window to the left (yes...drinking in the afternoon... :) ) and the lens handled that very well.

Never done a funnel. Did the 'hole in the beer can' a lot...
 
Just another in the series of of pictures that I have that makes me think the CV 75/2.5 is the best value 35mm lens ever made?
