These photos were taken in Astoria, Oregon with my Yashica GX and Kodak Ektar 100. It is something special in Yashica GX output, I just love it!

A nice series. I really like close in shot of the anchor chain, plus it really shows off the capabilities of the lens.

Those are nice!

Hey, what about that UPS truck... how is it sitting there with almost the entire front tire overhanging the curb, but not slipping off the curb?

Always liked Yashica lenses, they produce pleasing photos... Minolta Rokkor lenses have that special quality too and both firms were not the high and mighty Japanese optical giants of Nikkor or Canon.

Nice series of photos - good perspectives.

Those photos just snap - and the sharpness is amazing. Did you use a scanner, DSLR, or ?

Thank you!

The film was processed and scanned by local Costco long time ago. From my memory, they had Noritsu scanner. Unfortunately, they have stopped working with film about 5 years ago. Costco was also very good in printing.

Got a nice GX, picked up in person in Tokyo, from RFFer Frontman eBay seller Sangetsu03, a terrific guy.

This image, the wonderful Happo-en garden, Tokyo, camera-scan and NLP conversion.

Yashica 40/1.7 is solid performer, at least as good as 35mm Nikkors AI(s) I worked with. I'm not familiar with Rokkors, but I'm sure they are great lenses.

I didn't know UPS park their trucks on the front stabilizer bars in Oregon. :D

I can just imagine what it sounded like when he drove off of the curb and what the sidewalk looked like afterwards.

He's probably waiting for a tow truck, and his supervisor to show up.

Astoria is such a beautiful town, well captured here. I haven't been there for over 20 years, but would sure like to go back. "Goonies" was filmed there, and some other films I remember from my childhood. Thanks for posting!
