When I made the picture I was thinking on how the society encapsulate to each one... and in this picture, the geometry plays the encapsulating "roll". There are different scenes inside the geometry "gaps"...

Maybe it's more my thought than it can be in the picture... but I have thought I could share it with you.

I know when I'm looking at one of Tim's shots right away, before I see the credit. Tim has a clearly identifiable style. And a very fine shot, this is!

That's quite a shot. If it had been horizontal, I'd have said it was "Cinematic." In fact, I will anyhow. That's Cinematic!

I completely agree that a tighter crop and even a vertical format would work very well. I considered it but chose this format in order to try something a bit unconventional by seeking to emphasize the various diagonal elements in the image -- the long shadow, her legs, the black cloth, and her hair. I'm still not sure it works haha. But thanks for your suggestion. Much appreciated!

Thanks Deardorff! We usually avoid dappled light, at least on faces, but decided to incorporate it into the photo. My sweet young friend, who's a dog groomer by profession, was enjoying trying out new poses.

Reminds me of past visits to Venice. Wonderful image.
