Downunder, Japanese airports are very good about hand checking film if you ask them. No problems at all. On the Australian side, heading out, I've had no issues with hand checks at Sydney's T1 or Brisbane's domestic terminal. I haven't tried any other Australian terminals.

I never hand check any film, and during recent trips with either HP5 or Tri-X had no issues.

rest assured, you'll be first to get one. Your positive feedback alone makes me want to actually print it, so I'm slowly doing the editing part.
