I just received an I-22 from Fedka to go with my lensless IIIf. After installing the lens, the rangefinder images at infinity looks to be 1/4 " from aligning. The lens flange is about 1/16 " short of the camera mounting plate. Looking straight on at the camera, the lens focusing lever is at the 10 o'clock position when locked at infinity. Should this lens be returned, or do I have a rangefinde problem?
Any and all comments greatly appreciated. And yes, I did lock the lens in the extended position.

the lens should be flush with the lens mount flange on the camera when properly mounted.
check for problems with the M39 thread on the lens and on the camera.
a burr or dent on either thread can prevent you from mounting the lens properly.
