Lens covers about a 10"x10" image area. Next I will try a 9cmx9cm on 4x5 or 9x12cm sheet film.

The Sonnars seem eternal. There was a fellow on YT extolling the old CZJ cine lenses. He praised the special glow and color of the lenses, the old CZJ lenses. And he went on to remark that not only were they really good hung in front of a digital cine camera but they were also quite affordable. The Sonnar design is a marvel in how it treats light. For me I have had good luck with the FSU KMZ Jupiters especially with a very sweet '57 5cm. And I have a nice 1941 CZJ 5cm f/1.5. Many of us have the old lenses and like them for how they work on still cameras. And we have on the board the Chieftain o' the Sonnar Clan, Sonnar Brian, to advise and help us in choosing and using. It all seems good to me.
