One thing noticeable about the red curve is the linearity going up to sRGB saturation at 255 on the X scale. It's slope is about the same as the mid-tones meaning a significantly higher contrast in e.g. clouds compared to all the other curves, On the other hand, the slope at the low end is almost flat and the other curves give more contrast at their low ends ...
