OK, so the iPhone 5 that has served me well has been replaced with a hand-me-down from my Son. I have is iPhone 7 Plus and am thinking about getting something like:

I've seen others but wondering if anyone here has had any experience (good or bad) with any of them.
Thanks.

I use the 7+ as well,
I think it’s easier to use the camera with the bigger phone than on my previous 4/5/6
One thing I did buy into was the Moment lens system. I have their black basic case along with the Wide-Angle lens and hope to grab their Anamorphic once it ships.

I too have a 7 plus. Great camera. Occasionally I'll use the Glif tripod mount and a bluetooth remote. That combo works well. Most of the time I just use the button on the camera app.
Can't help you with the thing you shared in the link.

I'm a big fan of using the volume up button as a "shutter release." It's easier, and a bit stealthier, than tapping on the screen.

Forgot the mention the best part of my kit,

I use the S2 bundle.
The 7+ is a fairly capable 4K video “camera” with the FilmicPro App.
