Argus C3 Matchmatic Shutter Cocking Lever Removal

Hi Guys,

I’m working on a CLA of my Matchmatic, and I’m having an issue right at the beginning. I can’t seem to figure out how to get the shutter cocking lever off so i can remove the face plate. All of the videos i see online are for the regular C3 without the chrome cocking lever. I don’t want to try turning it hard in either direction until i know what I’m doing/that I’m not going to break something.

Mine screws off in the clockwise direction.

Mine has a Jam nut on the back side of the cocking lever. Once I loosen that, the lever unscrews in a normal fashion...the jam nut allows you to position the lever where you like it best...
