Color-Skopar 28mm f2.8 lens (Type I & II, M & L39 mounts) - Images

I think it's time to launch this thread. If you have images made with this lens this is a place to post them.

All the best,
Mike

What's it about the Color Skopar 28mm 3,5 LTM?

Erik, why don't you start your own thread about the Color-Skopar 28mm f3.5 LTM lens?

This thread is for "images" made with the new Voigtälnder 28mm f2.8 Color-Skopar lens (Type I & II, M & L39 mounts).

All the best,
Mike

There is no reason to start a new thread. People can go there if they're interested; this great lens was very "underexposed" when new. The mechanical quality of the 28mm F3.5 is better than that of the recent Heliar 40mm f2.8 IMO. I have the 40mm lens too. It never hurts to compare similar lenses with each other.

Erik.

The pictures I’m posting here were not posted for the purpose of being compared to other images made by other people with a different or the same lens.

I’m posting images here that I made using the Voigtälnder 28mm f2.8 Color-Skopar Aspherical (Type I) VM lens because I like this lens and I enjoy sharing the photos that I made with it. (Note: read the thread title and the first post.)

If somebody wants to do a legitimate side by side comparison of the old & new lenses or just post pictures made with the older 28mm f3.5 lens that’s their business and has nothing to do with me or my images.

All the best,
Mike

I'm intrigued by the new Voigtlander 28mm f2.8. I bought the 40mm f2.8 in LTM when it came out, and am very happy w/ it. Erik van Straten raises a reasonable question, how the new Voigtlander 28mm f2.8 compares to the older Voigtlander Skopar 28mm f3.5 LTM. I have the latter lens, and am looking again at the photos I've taken w/ it to help me decide whether to buy the new 28mm. Here's a sample photo taken with the older 28mm f3.5:

This is my last post in this thread. It used to be that an OP's determination of what a thread was about had some meaning. There was some thread integrity that respected the OP's desires and that was always supported by the Moderators. That is no longer the case here, at least not in this forum. So, I'm bowing out of this thread.

Mike

It seems a bit strange that this thread stopped when I quit posting here; very peculiar!

The Voigtälnder 28mm f2.8 Color-Skopar Aspherical lens is a sweet little lens, I've changed my mind, I'm going to start posting here again. It would be a shame to waste this thread.

All the best,
Mike
